How to Save your Mobile’s Battery from Powerbank

Battery power consumption are decreasing by time we use them, now helped by present of the power bank. But the news that the use of power bank can damage the cell phone’s battery often becomes another dilemma.

Professors and researchers from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Indonesia
, Agus R. Utomo explained on certain conditions, phones are recharged using the power bank can indeed damage the content in mobile phone’s battery.

Phones that
liven up continuously while connected to the power bank can cause material damage to the battery.

He analogized mobile phone battery charging
in live conditions could potentially exceed the capacity so can damage the battery cells.

"The
battery shouldn’t be charged 100%, max 80 percent or 85 percent," Agus said in an official statement.

Not only that, the phone battery should also not be allowed to
be empty or die to refilled. Agus added, preferably while the remaining 20 percent battery can already be connected to the charger.

In the study of electronics, Agus explained that the power capacity of a product should described by par. So that manufacturers could encourage safe threshold for the product is receiving power.

"Most manufacturers provide a safe limit of 20 percent of the maximum number. For example, the numbers listed 100 Ampere, the maximum limit can be about 120 Ampere to avoid excess energy that could be damaging if it happens constantly," he added.

To be safe, Agus encourage power producers embellish bank technology so users can know the needs of the incoming flow in accordance with the needs of the battery cell and circuit breaker technology
so they will not overloaded.
